
Burra Creek Wines has enlisted the skills of internationally awarded winemakers Andrew Hardy and Paul Smith to create a unique range of reds – shiraz, cabernet shiraz, sparkling shiraz and late harvest shiraz - 6 unique bottles of fine wine.
The Sparkling wine shows lovely fresh red cherry and berry fruits, with hints of chocolate and spicy pepper on the nose. The palate displays rich berry fruits, with the sweetness from the dosage balancing the natural texture and structure of the shiraz fruit. The fine bead formed by the natural method champenoise process adds a layer of freshness and delicacy to this full bodied wine.

This Reserve Shiraz displays intense plums and blackberry fruits with an attractive perfume and spice that is complimented by the vanillin French oak. On the palate the wine shows intense, rich plums and red berry fruits and is balanced by fine natural tannins and acid structure. A wine of impeccable power, style and balance.

A small portion of Shiraz was left to hang in the vineyard to gain extra ripeness before being hand picked. The fermentation was stopped on skins using wonderful eight year barrel aged brandy spirit. The resulting wine displays lifted ripe plums and prunes combined with hints of mocha and leather. Aged in old French oak barriques, the wine has developed rich and luscious mouth filling "Christmas pudding" characters, with the complexity of textured Clare tannins and persistent flavours.

The Burra Creek Shiraz 2008 shows dark, ripe plum and berry aromas with subtle spice and hints of chocolates and coffee. The palate has lovely rich, fleshy, plums and black fruits and is intensely flavoured with fine, velvety tannins.
