Andrew Hardy

Andrew Hardy is one of Australia’s most respected winemakers.

He was Petaluma’s Chief Winemaker for seven years, before taking over the reigns at Tim Knappstein Wines.

His overseas experience includes vintages with Simi in California, The Dundee Wine Company in Oregon, and Chateau Carsin in Bordeaux.

He began making wines for Burra Creek in 2000. He has recently been awarded an International Wine & Spirit competition's ‘Best Australian Red’ and ‘Best International Cabernet Sauvignon’.

Paul Smith

Andrew Hardy was the first to recognise Paul’s potential in 1998, when he employed Paul as a cellar hand at Knappstein.

He has since worked for Petaluma and Grosset wineries.

In 2004,with considerable knowledge, experience and expertise Paul accepted his current role as Senior Winemaker and Manager for Knappstein winery.

He has been involved with Burra Creek and Princess Royal wines since 2005 .
